A UK hospitality entrepreneur, operating two country B&s, wanted to add some high-end, Instagrammable rooms. Their goals were: quick deployment, year-round comfort, low operating costs, and a strong visual identity to boost average daily rates (ADR) and off-season occupancy.
After comparing timber cabins and lightweight steel cabins, the buyer ultimately selected six Apple Cabins – four 20-foot Apple Cabins for couples and two 40-foot luxury Apple Cabins for families.
The cabins were shipped to Southampton in two batches by sea and then transported to the site by low loader. Local planners approved the units as portable structures; the owner submitted a minor works notice and an environmental drainage plan to meet compliance requirements.
Each cabin is equipped with floor heating, ventilation, low-noise heat pump air conditioning, and anti-condensation features. Smart locks, self-check-in kiosks, and PMS/OTA integration enable dynamic pricing and real-time inventory. The 40-foot cabins feature additional lounges, picture windows, and child-friendly storage. Exterior path lighting and native plantings complete the micro-resort ambiance.
